Future Master Gardener

For as long as I can remember I've had a "brown thumb". Plants shrivel up if I just look at them. As a wedding present (almost 10 years ago!) my mom gave me a "cutting" of a plant she had received for her wedding. I killed it within the first year of our marriage.
I hope that I've turned over a new leaf (bad pun intended), but even if I'm no good at this gardening thing I hope to pass down a love of nature and plants to our kids. So far, so good.

Just to offer comfort, I also managed to "lose" everything I ever tried to grow until much later in life. I won't say HOW MUCh LATER! Remember, it's nice to develop new skills as you age.
