Beautiful Sunday

Today is beautiful! The breeze is brisk, but the sun is warm. Spring will get here after all. It appears it will not arrive until we get slammed by one more storm that appears to be on the way, but I'm hopeful that our days basking in the sun are near.

I took a walk with three of the kids today and was so disappointed when they (well, two of them) wanted to head home so they could watch the movie that Gigi was watching. Poor Gianna got sick in Mass this morning. She told me her belly hurt, but I thought she just had to go to the bathroom. I asked her if that was the case and she nodded, "Yes, I sink so". Nope, not the case. We were one of "those" families who left right after Communion.

Regardless of the bug that has crept indoors I am so thankful for today. I will admit that I'm not resting today. Rather I'm buzzing around the house and doing all of those chores that seem so overwhelming during the week.

Brett is almost finished with the closet (have I mentioned before that home projects always take longer than anticipated?). I am partially moved in, but am looking forward to really moving in and cleaning up our room.

Now back to buzzing!

Veronica

Can I just say that I love this girl? Of course I can...this is my blog.

My closet

Brett has been building me a closet in our room. I've been sharing a closet with Emma and Gigi for almost two years. I'm so thankful that my husband is handy and can do stuff like this. I'm lucky that he enjoys it too. Like any project, it has taken twice as long and three times more money than we thought it would. Like my dad always says, "A project is not worth doing unless you make three trips to the hardware store." I should be moved in by the end of the week!

Some pictures (staring from most recent)

Emma and Veronica
Gigi and "Buwonica"Emma enjoying her green oatmeal and milk on St.Patrick's Day.
A picture of the "snow monster" after a nice long walk outside.
The best picture of all four so far!
Love this picture of Veronica!
Emma got a lot of good reading in, and had a couple extra ears to listen to her.
Brett's mom and the girls doing their nails.
Gianna playing with Brett's old "Star Wars" figures...yes, that's a Darth Vador carrying case.
Emma playing with her playmobil house.
The kids thought it would be a good idea to go fishing in the pond that appears in our backyard during the "Great Melt".
Blurry, but who can resist a yawning baby.
The "terarium" my sister sent me when I was having a bad day.

Newest Accessory

I've found an accessory that is not only stylish and practical, but is very warm and smells good. It is the combination between my new Babyhawk carrier and my new baby! Nothing better. We are becoming quite attached and I'm not complaining one bit. I'll post a picture soon.

Other people

Yes, there are other people in this house, not just a baby. Here's proof! It was Brett's birthday yesterday and the kids spent all day Monday wrapping special presents for him (out of their own personal collections of course). He is the proud owner of two matchbox cars, an "Amelia Bedelia" book, some water coloring thing, a blue rubber snake, a Darth Vader helmet thing containing a die (as in a single dice), a penny and a button, and other various presents.

One of those days

Today was one of those days when I wanted to run away with her and smooch on her cheeks!

Grow baby, grow!

Veronica is now 8lbs 14 oz and 21 1/2" long. I can't believe how she has grown.
I'm also very glad that we had her baptism when we did because she has a full blown case of baby acne now. She's still cute of course, but not quite as picture-worthy. :-)
Our doctor said she was perfect...but we knew that already!
